Black Cats could make loan moves

Sunderland strikers David Healy and Daryl Murphy could leave the club on loan.

The duo have found themselves surplus to requirement at the Stadium of Light since the summers arrivals of Darren Bent and Fraizer Campbell.

Murphy was linked with Ipswich during the summer, while Healy held talks with Coventry and was reportedly a target for Newcastle and Middlesbrough.

Manager Steve Bruce has revealed there have been enquiries about both players, with Football League clubs allowed to make loan signings from Wednesday.

He told the Sunderland Echo: "There's been some interest in those two players from Championship sides, so we will have to see what happens.

"But they are the ones most likely to be leaving. There's no doubt that they need to be playing games, and it's very difficult for them to get that at Sunderland right now."

  2. When Brucey was taken on, he constantly chirped on about "the warchest" and "shopping at harrods" and also how smug he felt about finally managing a big club (yes I laughed at this bit as well) Now the realisation has sunk in that he has to balance the books and the warchest was, in fact a myth perpetuated by spin doctor Quinn on the orders of the American Nazi fascist owner, Ellis Short. Spin doctor Quinn was employed by the wily old fox Short purely as a 6 foot 5 inch irish smokescreen between the bullsh1tting board and the fans. Being Irish, Quinny is thick enough to do Ellis Shorts bidding, even if it means lying to thousands of faithful mackems about funds available.

Conclusion to this brief report......for Brucey the penny seems to have dropped, Quinny wont be far behind, both will be gone by new year.

  3. Possibly a good move for Healy, but a definately great move for D Murphy. The Championship is about his right level and he should be made pemenant at the end of the loan period.
