Rochdale boss Keith Hill has signed French striker Marc Manga ahead of the home clash with Barnet.

Manga, 21, has impressed Hill in training and reserve games, and has joined Dale on non-contract terms until January 2010.

Hill said: "He has some work to do to reach the tempo levels we have set in training but we have seen something in the reserve team games we like."

It is not yet clear whether Manga will come into contention to face the Bees as Hill`s men seek to bounce back from last Sunday`s defeat at Burton.

Hill admitted defender Craig Dawson struggled during the 1-0 reverse and he could now be replaced in the starting line-up by Marcus Holness.

Defender Rory McArdle is still out with a dislocated shoulder and midfielder Ciaran Toner is also a long-term absentee due to a shin injury.
