Aberdeen striker Sone Aluko has revealed his delight with life at Pittodrie after being named the SPL's Young Player of the Month for November. The 19-year-old summer signing from Birmingham was rewarded for performances which included goals against Kilmarnock and St Mirren.
Aluko, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury, vowed his best is yet to come, saying in the Evening Express: "I feel I still have a lot to give to Aberdeen.
"I'm still just a teenager and have a lot of learning to do. I can improve, and am looking forward to the challenge.
"I love it here at Aberdeen, especially the home games and playing in front of the fans."
He added: "I'm feeling good and did a little bit of training today, so hopefully I will be back soon."
Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood today backed Aluko to live up to the fans' expectations.
He said: "Sone has been in fantastic form and it's great he is being recognised. He has rightly received a lot of attention for his recent performances.
"With that comes a lot of expectation because the fans look for Sone to do something special every time he is on the ball.
"I have absolutely no doubt Sone will handle the pressure placed upon him."
