Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock hopes the injury to West Brom's Ishmael Miller does not prompt Tony Mowbray to recall on-loan Craig Beattie.Miller has been ruled out for the rest of the season with cruciate ligament damage, leaving the Baggies with Roman Bednar and Luke Moore as their only forwards.

Albion striker Beattie has found some fitness and form during his loan spell at Palace, hitting his fifth goal during Monday night's 3-0 win over Southampton, and could be called back to The Hawthorns as cover.

But Warnock said: "I think they are going to be looking at January really. They will be looking at the transfer window and signing one or two players.

"They have been pretty good to me, as has Tony, but it is his prerogative."
