Nicolas Anelka's agent says the Bolton forward is desperately hoping his switch to Chelsea is completed by the end of the week.Chelsea have already seen one bid, in excess of £11million, rejected for the France striker, but are already lining up an improved offer.
Blues boss Avram Grant is hoping to wrap up the transfer before Saturday's Stamford Bridge clash with Tottenham and according to Anelka's agent, Doug Pingisi, the forward has the same wish.
"He really wants to go to Chelsea," Pingisi told L'Equipe.
"Nicolas is calm. He hopes everything will be finalised this week. He has been waiting for such an opportunity for years.
"He appreciates that he is at the top of the list of players wanted by Chelsea at the moment."
Pingisi has also revealed Anelka's motivation for leaving Bolton would be to play in the UEFA Champions League.
"For Nico, it is very important he finds a club that will allow him to express himself at the highest level," Pingisi added.
"Moreover, this club is still involved in every competition, particularly the Champions League."
