Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is reportedly set to make teenage Brazilian full-back Leyrielton his first signing at Craven Cottage on Friday.Fulham are close to wrapping up the deal for Leyrielton, according to reports in Brazil, and could even conclude the transfer in the next 24 hours.
Leyrielton, 19, is contracted to Goias until the summer of 2011 but the Brazilian club's sports manager Orislei Santos has confirmed a deal with the Cottagers is edging close to completion.
"We have already sent all the documentation that is necessary for doing everything correctly," Santos told the Esmeraldino website.
"There are some things that we haven't arranged yet but besides that I think if everything goes on as it has been happening until now we could maybe announce the transfer on Friday."
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has also been linked with a move for Juventus centre-back Jean-Alain Boumsong as he bids to strengthen his defence.
