On-loan Taylor set to miss out again

Thu 10 Jan, 04:30 PM

Tranmere again look set to be missing on-loan Blackburn defender Andy Taylor for the visit of League One rivals Bristol Rovers on Friday. The 21-year-old full-back, who has been on loan from Ewood Park for two months, was withdrawn from the squad which lost 3-0 at Leyton Orient on Tuesday after a rival club came in with a transfer offer.

Rovers are unlikely to retain his services for the Rovers clash and several other players will definitely be missing.

Ian Goodison serves the third game of a four-match ban and fellow defender Shane Sherriff is also suspended after being sent off at Orient in midweek.

Influential winger Chris Shuker is likely to be ruled out for the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Winger Steve Davies could also miss the rest of the campaign with the same injury but striker Chris Greenacre could return after a hamstring strain.
