Phil Jevons has joined Huddersfield on a permanent basis after the League One side agreed an undisclosed fee with Bristol City. The 28-year-old, who was the Robins' top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions last season, has been on loan at the Galpharm Stadium but has now signed a deal until the summer of 2010.
"The signing of Phil is fantastic for the club," boss Andy Ritchie told Huddersfield's official website. "We have been chasing him for a long time but we have managed to secure the signature of a proven goalscorer.
"I still think he is one or two games away from being match-fit, but he offers so much to the team other than just goals in terms of link up play and I am delighted to have him here.
"He has made a positive impact in his short time with us so far and I am certain that will continue."
Jevons has scored four goals in seven starts since he joined Huddersfield on November 24.
