On-loan Burnley defender Stanislav Varga has refused to rule out staying at Turf Moor beyond the end of his existing deal. The Slovakian is on an initial one-month loan from Sunderland and made his debut in the FA Cup defeat against Arsenal last weekend.
His Black Cats contract expires at the end of the season and Varga is already eyeing up an extended stay at Turf Moor.
He said: "If the (Burnley) manager would like me to stay then that would be good. I already like it here.
"I think they are a great bunch of lads and I think we showed if we win as many tackles as we did (against Arsenal), I think we're going to be all right in this division.
"I want to win as many games as I can and get Burnley up the table."
