Edinburgh coach Andy Robinson has challenged his players to show they are a changed team when they take on Leicester Tigers at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Since their 39-0 thrashing by the English champions in November, Edinburgh have put together a run of five wins in six matches and stand third in the Magners League.
Such a run will not be enough to make them favourites for this weekend's Heineken Cup clash in the Scottish capital, but former England boss Robinson expects his troops to give an improved performance after their previous mauling by Marcelo Loffreda's side.
Robinson said: "We are really looking forward to playing against Leicester and measuring where we are now in comparison to where we were three months ago."
Hugo Southwell returns at full-back for the clash. It was against Leicester in November that the Scotland international sustained an ankle injury which has limited his involvement since.
Now his challenge will be to come back into the side and play as though he has never been away, despite the strength of the opposition.
Southwell told www.edinburghrugby.org: "It is a real test. As a full-back, the things you are looking to do well is to be solid in defence and running and kicking well.
"It is really key when you are the last line of defence to not miss any tackles. This weekend will be a real test for all of us and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
Ben Cairns moves from full-back to the right wing, and Southwell said: "It is an attack-minded back line which is showing a lot of promise and hopefully this weekend we can exploit that.
"Hopefully we can play a bit more than we have in the last two games; largely because of the weather we haven't really played that much rugby. So we will be looking to go out there and play some rugby this weekend."
Scotland back-row forward Dave Callam is ruled out due to a shoulder injury but should be back for next week's clash with Toulouse, and prop Gavin Kerr returns from illness.
