Cameroon's German coach Otto Pfister named his 23-man squad for the African Cup of Nations.
The four-times African champions have included Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, who has been excused from their training camp in Burkina Faso under an agreement with the Spanish club.
"Barcelona had two crucial matches which his club explained the striker could not miss," Pfister told state radio from the Burkina capital Ouagadougou.
"He's in very good form and will not have any problem integrating into the squad in Ghana."
The players are expected to return home next week before leaving for Ghana where they face Egypt, Sudan and Zambia in Group C. They start against Egypt in Kumasi on January 22nd.
