Darlington manager Dave Penney conceded that Alan White was lucky to stay on the pitch as Darlington hung on for a 1-0 win over Barnet.Julian Joachim's early goal proved sufficient after Barnet wasted a host of chances to win the game - including a penalty which was saved.
Penney said: "I thought that Whitey was going to sit with us after that tackle. It looked a clear red card offence.
"But it was a double-whammy for Barnet as Stockdale then went on and saved the spot-kick."
He added: "The goal from Jockey was pure quality and he does that in training all the time.
"We have played better, there's no doubt about that. I don't know if its nerves or what, but the performance wasn't what we wanted. However, the three points were vital especially when you look at other results."
