KARLSRUHE, Germany, Feb 10, 2008 (AFP) - Sweden's Susanna Kallur set a new indoor world record on Sunday when she clocked 7.68 seconds over the 60m hurdles, but there was disappointment for Cuba's Dayron Robles.
The 26-year-old Kallur beat the old record of 7.69sec set by compatriot Ludmila Enqvist in Chelyabinsk, Russia, in 1990.
But Cuba's Robles was left disappointed earlier when his second attempt this weekend at breaking Colin Jackson's 14-year indoor world record for the 60m hurdles again ended in failure.
Robles won in a time of 7.41sec, against a field which included former World and Olympic champion Allen Johnson, having ran 7.33sec - the fastest time in the world this season - on Friday evening at an indoor event in Dusseldorf.
The 21-year-old's time on Sunday was well outside Jackson's record of 7.30sec set in 1994.
