Zlatan Muslimovic struck his second goal of the game for Atalanta in injury-time to further frustrate Fiorentina's stuttering European qualification bid with a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Azzurri d'Italia.
Former Atalanta striker Giampaolo Pazzini had given the visitors the lead in the 29th minute only for Muslimovic to equalise a minute later with a simple tap in.
Franco Semioli headed Fiorentina back in front on the hour mark, however with time almost up it was Atalanta's 26-year-old striker who again drew the scores level to leave La Viola with just one win from their last five Serie A matches.
The result leaves Fiorentina in fourth place in the standings, three points behind third-placed Juventus, while they are five points ahead of AC Milan having played two more matches than the Rossoneri.
Atalanta remain in seventh position, eight points behind Fiorentina.
Roma closed the gap on leaders Internazionale to five points as they recorded a hard-fought 2-0 win over a battling Reggina side.
Christian Panucci gave Roma the lead on 21 minutes and Alessandro Mancini sealed the victory in the 76th minute.
After falling to a shock defeat at Siena last time out Roma will have been pleased to get back to winning ways and to have closed the gap on Inter who travel to Catania on Sunday.
