Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has been told he would be better off staying in Germany after reports in Spain linked him with a move to Real Madrid.
Ribery has been coy on his future at the German club, admitting that he could be open to a move, and Barcelona have been tipped as a potential destination for the France international.
Newspaper Marca say that Madrid are at the head of the queue to sign him, although conceded that they would not be the only interested club.
The story came after statements from club president Franz Beckenauer and team coach Juergen Klinsmann implied that Ribery was considering a move to Spain but insisted that he should remain at Bayern for now.
"Here we have an oasis where he can develop," Beckenbauer said. "In Spain the situation at clubs is very different than that which he would experience at Bayern."
Klinsmann agreed with Beckenbauer.
"The clubs courting him talk of his quality," Klinsmann said. "But we are sure that he will stay with us for a long time."

Totally agreed with comment #1. Barca already have Messi working his magic from right flank & clicking superbly with Dani Alves. Barca need to sign top left attacking midfielder if really they wanted to cash-in Henry. Say David Silva..
Ribery should stay at Bayern, look where Hleb is now.. week in week out..
Bayern is one of the greatest clubs in europe...but i would love to see him playing for barcelona as an LAM/LW next season when they sell henry...that will be fantastic...VISCA ELBARCA
Real is a talent killer , Barca already have Messi , Bayern is the best place for Franck
