Match-winner Chris Brown has revealed how watching videos of Dutch ace Ruud van Nistelrooy inspired him to score his weekend brace at Charlton.Brown was on target twice at the Valley as the Lilywhites boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 victory and the 23-year-old admitted he had studied footage of the prolific Real Madrid striker prior to the match.

"We watched a video on Ruud van Nistelrooy about his goals and getting in the right areas," Brown told the club's official website.

"He doesn't necessarily score great goals all the time but he always seems to find the net as a striker you have to admire people like that.

"We were in there for about 45 minutes, just watching and rewinding his movement - when you watch games you don't really take that on board until you stop it and watch every single thing that he does.

"I just need to be in the box when the ball's arriving. It's something I'm working on and it's not going to come over night, but as long as the team is winning then I'm happy."
