Dobie struggling for Hatters clash

Mon 10 Mar, 06:15 PM

Scott Dobie faces a race against time to be passed fit for Carlisle's home clash against struggling Luton in League One on Tuesday night.A virus prevented striker Dobie from featuring in Saturday's 2-0 home win over Brighton, and it remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old will return to action against the Hatters at Brunton Park.

Boss John Ward may opt to deploy the same starting XI for the third game in a row should Dobie remain sidelined.

Joe Garner (knee) and Paul Thirlwell (ankle) remain Ward's only absentees while teenage striker Gary Madine could again come off the bench to feature for the third game on the trot.

Jeff Smith and Danny Carlton have also been called upon in recent weeks and will be hopeful of some involvement for the third-placed Blues.
