Mon 10 Mar, 05:00 PM

Bryan Hodge has extended his loan spell at Darlington for a further month and is in manager Dave Penney's squad for the trip to Shrewsbury. The midfielder was due to return to parent club Blackburn following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Wycombe but has prolonged his stay with Quakers and should retain his place in Penney's starting XI.

Penney is also boosted by the return of Alan White after the experienced defender completed a four-match ban.

White could make an immediate return at the heart of the defence alongside Steve Foster, with Ian Miller likely to give way if Penney opts to chop and change.

Midfielder Rob Purdie came off the bench to impress at Adams Park and push his claims for a starting spot against the Shrews while Tim Ryan and Clark Keltie (both knee) remain stranded on the sidelines.
