Kevin Blackwell has dismissed speculation linking in-form striker James Beattie with a return to the Premier League.Beattie has fired five goals in his last three matches to help ignite the Blades' late charge for the play-offs, including a spectacular free-kick equaliser against city rivals Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

Blackwell told the club's official website: "James is tied into a four-year contract here and at the moment I'm delighted he's banging in the goals for Sheffield United.

"He's worked hard to overcome the injury that he got over Christmas and, as far as interest in him goes, we can decide who and when anybody speaks to him.

"However, there is nothing to say he is leaving at the end of the season."
