Danny Coles could become the latest Bristol Rovers player to be ruled out for the remainder of the season after he suffered a leg injury.Defender Coles limped out of the goalless stalemate at home to Hartlepool last weekend after just 17 minutes and missed the midweek draw at Nottingham Forest with the problem.
The 26-year-old has undergone a scan which revealed bruising to the bone in his leg.
"Danny could be back before the end of the season, but you never know with bone bruising," said first-team coach Paul Trollope. "Sometimes it can heal and settle quite quickly, other times it takes longer.
"It is something we will have to assess as the weeks go on, but for now he looks like he is going to be out."
Loan signings Wayne Andrews, Jeff Hughes and Anthony Pulis all returned to their parent clubs last week after injuries ended their campaign.
