Midfielder Michael Cummins has called on his team-mates to halt the club's slump in form and help restore some much-needed confidence. The Quakers go into Saturday's home clash with Hereford with just one win from their last eight games.
Cummins is well aware the slide down the table to fifth spot has taken its toll on Penney's players, but is keen to finish the season on a high.
"We've only won one in eight and we're in a bit of a rut so we've got to pick ourselves up," Cummins told the Northern Echo.
"The gaffer picks his XI and we've got go out there and perform and get some results.
"There is a difference in the changing room now compared with three or four months ago when we were winning 4-0 at Lincoln and 4-0 at Grimsby and battling and working for each other."
