Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson has called on his side to give their supporters "something to smile about" against Wrexham on Sunday.Tuesday's draw at Morecambe extended the Shrews' winless run to 15 games to leave them seven points clear of the drop zone with four games left to play.
Victory over the rock-bottom Dragons would ease any lingering relegation fears and Simpson believes a strong finish to the campaign would give them vital confidence for next season.
He told the club's official website: "I want to win Sunday's game, there's not a shadow of a doubt about that. I've looked in the programme at some of the results we've had at home and I think the fans have had a bit of a raw deal.
"Hopefully we can give them something to smile about on Sunday, which would set us up nicely for the next home game.
"If we can finish the season as strongly as we can then we can get some momentum to take with us into pre-season."
