Wetherall: City have bright future

Thu 10 Apr, 02:30 PM

David Wetherall is predicting exciting times ahead for Bradford City, who are looking to finish the League Two season strongly. The Bantams' promotion challenge has not materialised under Stuart McCall this season, but they have lost just one of their last six league matches.

Wetherall, who will hang up his boots in the summer and become first-team coach at Valley Parade, told the club's official website: "We said we wanted to finish the season positively and it's nice to get on a run of results and performances.

"The chairman's right when he said we can really look forward to next season. We're not a million miles off now and I'm sure the gaffer will be looking to strengthen over the summer.

"So if we are not all that far off now and we are going to get stronger next year, then I'm quite excited about what we can do."
