Notts County goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington admitted he is confident of signing a new contract that will keep at Meadow Lane next season. The 34-year-old has made over 100 appearances for the club but missed the final three months of the campaign with a fractured ankle.
"I am delighted to have been offered a new contract with the club," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"It was a shame I got injured when I did, but I felt I deserved it after my performances last season.
"There are a few bits and pieces that need to be ironed out but I hope it can be sorted out as soon as possible.
He added: "I want to be part of a promotion-winning team here. I know they are big words, but it is a big club."
