Steve Tilson believes Southend can still reach Wembley despite the 0-0 draw with Doncaster in the home leg of their play-off semi-final.The Shrimpers entered the play-offs as the form team, with a run of just one defeat in 15 games securing sixth place.
Rovers, by contrast, had to get over the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion on the final day of the season.
But the South Yorkshire side will now be favourites to progress, although Tilson is confident his men can triumph on the road and give themselves a shot at a return to the Championship.
"It was a fair result on the night. We probably shaded the first half and they shaded the second. The main thing is we are still in the tie," he said.
"We would have liked to have had an advantage but it's all to play for in a one-off game now. Our away form is good."
