Former Jordan, Honda and Super Aguri racer Takuma Sato travelled to Indianapolis this week and visited the fabled speedway yesterday as qualifying for the Indy 500 got underway.
Sato, who had hoped to secure a ride with Toro Rosso Ferrari this year, is now looking outside of Formula One and IndyCar is an obvious option for the Japanese racer.
"Obviously, I know the track, but this is my first trip during the IndyCar Series, and I'm very impressed,” said Sato. “This place, obviously, is very important. I'm looking forward to any possibility of a chance in my future plans, you know, just to have a look and feel it, the Indy 500."
Sato secured his sole podium position of his Formula One career at the circuit in 2004.

I think Takuma Sato is a better driver than Sebastian Bourdais.
why not give it a shot? he might even have a better success than Hideki Mutoh at Andretti Green. . .
