Terriers chief believes in Clark

Huddersfield chairman Dean Hoyle is planning on to give boss Lee Clark his unequivocal backing as the club prepare to mount a promotion push next term.

Clark replaced previous boss Stan Ternent at the Galpharm Stadium in December, replacing Stan Ternent who was given just six months in the job.

But Hoyle is preparing to allow Clark the time to get things right and told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The manager will get 100% backing. He's not a manager who just says he wants X, Y or Z player.

"He talks it through with me and the chief executive Nigel Clibbens. I know Lee takes the lead, but we always challenge. It's about team work.

"People say `what will happen if Lee fails?' I actually see it differently; we've got a good relationship and that's why we brought him in in the first place. And if Lee fails, we all fail, because we all make the choices and do things together.

"But, to be honest, we're a long way from that and I can only see positives from next season."
