Middlesbrough have been linked with a move for teenage Serbian striker Rajko Purovic.
The 18-year-old's representatives claim talks are to take place between his current club, FK Banat Zrenjanin and the Teessiders over a possible move.
Boro have worked hard to build up their European scouting network in recent years and have fostered links in Serbia.
They brought 20-year-old FK Kosice midfielder Nemanja Matic over to England on trial last season, and could do the same with the £2million-rated youngster.
Boro's interest in the player emerged as they begin to reshape their squad for life in the Coca-Cola Championship.
They seem certain to be without Turkey international Tuncay Sanli, who has told the Turkish press he wants to remain in England, but is looking to stay in the Barclays Premier League.

I could'nt locate him on Wikipedia but I managed to find him on youtube, then again I remember finding Alves on youtube and he was a good player then.. :-))
Something fishy about this one though, you could be right Michelle, he may not exist.
is he even any good. i thought steve gibson said we needed experience not young players we have plenty of our own if thats what gibson was looking for. we should be buying some well known experience players that can get us out of the championship
Trust me, if he was any good he would already have been snapped up by one of the 'big' boys!
You do realise this player does not exist dont you?
