Foxes close to N'Guessan deal

Wed 10 Jun, 03:35 PM

Leicester are close to agreeing a compensation deal with Lincoln for the transfer of Dany N'Guessan.

The 21-year-old French playmaker turned down a new deal with the Imps at the end of last season and has been talking to the Championship newcomers ever since.

As N'Guessan is under 24, Lincoln are entitled to a fee for the player.

With the annual meeting of the Football League set to take place later this week, Imps vice chairman Bob Dorrian told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I think a lot of things can get done (at the meeting).

"The Leicester chief executive is going to be there and it may get done over a couple of pints, you never know."

  4. Howard's goals got Derby promoted and the last time he played at the Hawthorns he got a hat-trick - Matty is a top class goalscorer who went thro' a poor 18 months (too many different managers and a few too many ounces?)but will now be rarin' to go. No worries on the striker front - plus we've still got DJ !?!

  6. 2 season ago we went down because we had no fire power (the best defence but no ruddy strikers), we had no one who could score at championship level week in, week out. And that included Matty. So far I see a great defence, midfielders and wingers, ok, but just like 2 seasons ago, no total monsters up front. We can't go in with a 'they where great in L1' attitude, we need 2 well known premier/championship strikers or by the time we find out that we should have had them, half the season will be gone and the championship is a blood bath. I am getting really nervous, seems like dejauvu.
