Gill delighted with City switch

Wed 10 Jun, 12:33 PM

New Norwich midfielder Matt Gill has admitted he would "have walked from Devon" to join the Canaries after leaving Exeter.

Gill has signed a two-year contract at Carrow Road to return to his home town and is raring to go in League One with Bryan Gunn's side.

He told the club's official website: "It's an unbelievable opportunity to come back and hopefully pull on the yellow and green shirt.

"To be honest I would have walked here from Devon.

"I've spoken about the difference between the two clubs and the fanbase and the facilities and it is an opportunity for me to be involved with what I would say is a Premier League club.

"It will be a very competitive league with the likes of Millwall, Leeds and MK Dons but I'm sure one which we'll do well in."
