Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has signed West Bromwich Albion striker Stefan Morrison on a free transfer. The 18-year-old was a second-year scholar with the Baggies, and boss Martinez has tipped the youngster to be a success at the Liberty Stadium.
"From what we have seen of Stefan he has impressed us," said Martinez. "I think he has a chance of becoming a very good footballer."
Morrison featured in Wednesday's friendly against Ostersund in Sweden as the Swans ran out 6-0 victors thanks to a hat-trick from Gorka Pintado, Guillem Bauza's brace and a strike from Mark Gower.
Martinez, meanwhile, has also offered striker Chad Bond, 21, a one-year deal. He was originally released by the Swans at the end of the 2005-06 season.
