Colchester striker Jamie Guy has signed for Blue Square Premier side Oxford on a season-long loan deal.The 20-year-old found first-team opportunities limited with the Us last season and will spend the forthcoming campaign at the Kassam Stadium.

Oxford manager Darren Patterson told the club's official website: "Jamie is a player I have admired for a long time.

"He has always excelled against our reserves and I have seen him play at first-team level, where he has looked the part as well.

"He has a great work rate, scores goals and with James Constable and Yemi Odubade already here we have good options up front."

Meanwhile, Colchester have arranged a pre-season friendly match against Spanish club Athletic Bilbao. The game against the Primera Liga side will take place on August 4.
