Leeds United boss Gary McAllister is one of the main reasons why new signing Enoch Showunmi has chosen to sign for the Whites.The former Luton and Bristol City striker, who signed a two-year deal at Elland Road, revealed he idolised McAllister during the Leeds manager's playing days.

Showunmi, 26, said: "Gary McAllister was one of my idols as a player.

"Having seen what sort of footballer he was and with the football brain he has it will be great to work under him.

"Steve Staunton is another player I watched when I was growing up, so it's a good coaching staff and I hope I can improve my game and get Leeds where we want to be."
