Striker waits on injury latest

Queens Park Rangers striker Rowan Vine is set to find out whether he is on the road to recovery from a knee injury this week.The 25-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a cruciate knee ligament injury suffered during a freak training ground incident in April.

Vine has set his sights on a return to first-team action after impressing in his 15 appearances for the club since joining permanently from Birmingham in the January transfer window.

Vine told the Daily Mail: "I haven't had an X-ray for a month, so I'm just hoping the doctor has some good news for me.

"Depending on what he says will determine if I'm on track for an early return to action."
