Plymouth Argyle youngster Luke Summerfield believes this is the season he can stake his claim for a starting place in midfield.The 20-year-old, who has progressed through the ranks at the club, sees this season as his chance to shine.

After words of encouragement from manager Paul Sturrock, Summerfield told the club's official website: "It's good to hear. I've wanted to stake a claim over the last two or three years in the first team and this season is no different.

"Every season there is a weight on my shoulders to say 'look, this is the year I'm going to break into the team', I've said it ever since the first year I turned pro.

"Hopefully, I'll live up to it. I've been working hard in pre-season and hopefully, come the first game, I'll have the shirt."
