Ligue 1 - Fernandes joins St Etienne from City

Manchester City have confirmed Gelson Fernandes has joined St Etienne for an undisclosed fee.
The Swiss midfielder found himself on the fringes last season after manager Mark Hughes arrived from Blackburn.
Fernandes moved to City from FC Sion in July 2007 and made his debut in the Carling Cup win over Bristol City a month later.
He made 59 appearances, scoring four times, but he was increasingly used as a substitute.
The French side are coached by former Portsmouth manager Alain Perrin.

thats good! man city is to rich for fernandes. he is very good, but he must play!
hughes wasted this player like some others may be if hughes played him and some others we might not have losed so many games HUGHES IS A @#$% MANGER NO MATTER HOW MUCH CASH HE HAS FOR PLAYERS THE SOONER HE GOES THE BETTER
