New Tranmere recruit Alan Mahon believes he can help the club`s bright young talents to prosper this season.

Mahon has returned for his second spell with the club after being released by Burnley at the end of last season.

And the 31-year-old said: "The older you get the more experienced you get.

"It's about making sure the young lads are ticking over and everyone is positive.

"Young lads just need to be pushed in the right direction and that's what I hope to do."
