Macclesfield`s friendly at Northwich Victoria has been brought forward to Friday, July 31 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, August 1 but Silkmen boss Keith Alexander was happy to accommodate Northwich`s request.

He said: "They gave me a call and asked to move the game forward by a day.

"I'm pleased that we could accommodate them. Northampton play at MK Dons on August 1st on the Saturday and it will give me a good opportunity to run the rule over our first opponents ahead of the big kick-off."
