Trezeguet agent plays down Rangers link

Fri 10 Jul, 01:20 PM

David Trezeguet's agent is unaware of any offer from Rangers to Juventus for the French striker.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from Turin this summer, but his representative Antonio Caliendo knows nothing of a reported 10million euros bid from the Scottish champions.

He told Radio Milan: "For the time being I have not been called into this matter. Regarding Trezeguet, there are many rumours because he appeals to many clubs."

He added: "If there is a team that the player likes and that club is strongly interested in him, it will be no surprise.

"But only certain offers can be evaluated."

Caliendo insisted that Trezeguet, who joined Juve from Monaco in the summer of 2000, would not rule out a move away from Italy.

"He is aware that he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone," said Caliendo.

"He has won a World Cup, a European Championship, three Serie A titles, the Capocannoniere title (as the top scorer in Serie A in 2001/02)...

"As long as the teams that want him play at a high level, there will be no problems."

Injury limited Trezeguet, who is under contract with Juve until June 2011, to just eight league appearances last season.

  5. I think this place is brilliant ......
some of you take what the press feed you ...

David Trezeguet was linked in Jan to Gers and nothing happened ..

the difference is that Celtic have to catch up to Rangers this season so far we havent lost any players that would make a big difference to our team and can afford to lose a few more ie Fergie ,McCulloch Beasley Adam to name a few
now Celtic have so far lost Naka who I would say apart from being A potential gold medal winner at the olympics for diving ...could hit a mean free kick .....who else could Celtic afford to lose that wouldnt affect there second place status

  13. Can't see how they can Stub... Unless they sell Bhoyd, Davis and Mendes and MAYBE get what I would class over the odds, about 2 mill for each of them, by the time they go through, they'd need to have someone already in the frame, dependant on the money from selling them, and hope they have no contractual problems. Some of them need to catch themselves oan.
