Notts County manager Ian McParland was disappointed his side failed to take anything from the game as his side lost 2-1 to Bradford. Two goals from Bantams striker Peter Thorne gave the home side a comfortable lead and despite only managing a late consolation goal through Richard Butcher, McParland was satisfied with the account his side gave of themselves.
"We have seen we have to defend better in some situations than we managed to do here when we were badly punished twice by Peter Thorne who reminded us what a good finisher he is," the County boss said
"I thought we were the better side throughout the second half and especially after Richard Butcher got us back in the game with his goal and we certainly did enough to get a point.
"I don't want to say too much about the way we were denied a penalty late in the game, but I certainly felt we should have had a spot-kick."
