Hull trial for Glauber

Thu, 10 Sep 10:17:56 2009

Hull are to give a trial to former Manchester City defender Glauber Berti.

The once-capped Brazil international was released by the Eastlands outfit in the summer after failing to make an impact in his one season at the club.

Glauber, 26, made just one substitute appearance - in the final game of the season - after a free transfer from Nuremberg in the summer of 2008.

But his career in England may not be over as Hull manager Phil Brown looks to increase his defensive options following the sale of Michael Turner to Sunderland.

Glauber's agent Jose Renato Martinez told the Hull Daily Mail: "I think he is there for two to three days training with them.

"A move is not 100%, but we are hopeful something might happen."
