Return of the Mac

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson insists Michael McIndoe has nothing to prove when he faces the Robins on Saturday.

Johnson allowed McIndoe to join Coventry in the summer and the Scottish winger is eager to turn in a good display against his former club at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

But Johnson told the club's official website: "When Macca leaves any club he says there is a point to prove, but there is nothing to prove. He got a move that was right for him and us and that's what happens in football.

"When you say things like that you've got to come up with the goods. We've got to make sure we keep him quiet."

  2. It was obvious that McIndoe (or his agent) was after the money. He tried for one club, it fell through and he gave the 'I'm happy to stay' spiel ... then within a week he was gone! Mac, we only want players who are PASSIONATE for City. Have you got anything to prove? Not this game you haven't; however, on 6th Feb, when you have to return to the fans who chanted your name, the fans you deserted, then you have.
