Whing set for specialist visit

Brighton are to send defender Andrew Whing to see a specialist to determine the extent of his ongoing groin problem.

The former Coventry full-back is doubtful for Saturday's trip to Carlisle with a dead leg, but he is also feeling his groin which could be linked to a hernia operation he underwent four years ago.

"It's the dead leg that is stopping him, but he has had a scan with regard to his groin," said Seagulls boss Russell Slade.

"He will see a specialist but we don't think it's too serious. There might be a bit of wear and tear, so we'll have to monitor the situation and see what the specialist says."
