FOOTBALL 2007-2008 Premier League Arsenal Tomas Rosicky - 0

The Czech Republic captain's time at Arsenal has been disrupted by numerous niggles, and he has just returned from a hamstring strain.

The midfielder had his wisdom teeth removed in an attempt to solve the problems, but he steps have also been taken to improve his posture.

Rosicky recently spent his 27th birthday at a foot clinic getting the soles fitted and hopes to return to play for his country against Germany next Wednesday.

"After training I had to visit a clinic they will be making the special insole for my shoes," he said.

"I arrived home at 10pm and was so tired that I went to bed immediately. It was a really great birthday celebration!

"I just started training on my birthday. I was already training with the ball before leaving London but it was not a full session."

Rosicky also insisted nobody at the Emirates Stadium had been surprised by the team's fast start to the season.

"For the press and the public it is certainly a surprise but it has to be said we trust ourselves. Everybody kept saying we did not have big names but our team is well-composed and some players are underrated.

"All our opponents strengthened and we lost Thierry Henry. Despite this departure, we have stayed the same throughout. If somebody pulls out, another player comes in and you cannot notice the difference."
