Charlton were held to a goalless draw by Oldham, missing the chance to go joint-top of League One with Leeds.

The Whites did not have to play because of international call-ups but, despite hitting the woodwork through Miguel Angel Llera and Kelly Youga, the Addicks were unable to close the gap.

Pawel Abbot had a goal disallowed for Oldham.

Kayode Odejayi scored from close range to give Colchester a 1-0 win at Leyton Orient.

On 55 minutes the on-loan Barnsley striker hit his fourth goal in three games since moving from Oakwell as Aidy Boothroyd's side moved above Bristol Rovers, who like Leeds did not play, into third.

MK Dons striker Jermaine Easter scored his sixth goal this season in a 1-0 win over Walsall.

Paul Ince's side climbed above Rovers to go fourth.

Norwich moved sixth as their good form under new boss Paul Lambert continued with a 1-0 win at Carlisle.

Wes Hoolahan slotted home from 12 yards out on 42 minutes.

Jordan Rhodes's eight-minute hat-trick helped Huddersfield to a 4-0 win over Exeter.

Lee Novak opened the scoring on 17 minutes before Rhodes took his season tally to 11 with strikes on 44, 49 and 52 minutes.

The Terriers move eighth while Exeter stay 14th.

Millwall snatched a late equaliser to hold Swindon 1-1 at the County Ground.

Danny Schofield scored with eight minutes left to level Scott Cuthbert's opener on the quarter hour.

Swindon finished the game with 10 men after Jonathan Douglas was shown a straight red card for serious foul play, while the Lions also had Andy Frampton dismissed before Schofield struck.

Struggling Yeovil and Brighton played out an entertaining 2-2 draw as the hosts came from two goals down.

Andrew Crofts and Liam Dickinson put the visiting Seagulls 2-0 up by 41 minutes, but Scott Murray scored at the end of the first half and with an 82nd-minute penalty to snatch a point for Yeovil.

Simeon Jackson's late strike earned Gillingham a 3-2 win over managerless Wycombe Wanderers.

The Chairboys lie 23rd and parted ways with former boss Peter Taylor earlier in the week but they showed great spirit to twice come from behind before Simeon Jackson scored a 77th-minute winner.
