Steve Staunton saw his new Darlington side slump to a 2-0 defeat at Dagenham and Redbridge to stay bottom of League Two.

Struggling Grimsby fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Burton, their eighth loss of the season.

Andrew Corbett (10) and Jimmy Phillips (31) netted for Paul Peschisolido's side after Chris Jones put the hosts ahead early on.

Accrington thrashed Cheltenham 4-0 thanks to a brace by Bobby Grant, with all the goals coming in the second half.

Grant struck twice in six minutes to add to a Chris Turner strike and a Phil Edwards penalty.

Rene Howe hit a 70th-minute penalty to give Lincoln a 1-0 win at Macclesfield.

Aldershot thrashed Morecambe 4-1 to go fifth.

Marvin Morgan, an own goal from Craig Stanley and strikes from Kirk Hudson and Louis Soares put Aldershot 4-0 up while Paul Mullin netted a 90th-minute consolation.
