Reaction to Sunday's Premier League games, with Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear fuming about the manner of his side's defeat.
Fulham 2-1 Newcastle
Roy Hodgson: "We're trying to keep our feet on the ground and take results like this one with a pinch of salt. We don't want to go down, but we'll be hard pushed to get into Europe, that's for sure. If we keep doing what we did today for the rest of the season, we'll be OK."
Joe Kinnear: "I'm fuming, to be honest. We were the better team at the end of the first half and all the way through the second but we've lost. It comes down to a referee's decision and it's cost us dear. Just before the penalty, (Claudio) Cacapa is pushed off the ball and the referee lets it go - it was an appalling decision and I'm so angry. It keeps happening to us and the referee has a lot to answer for. I'm trying to hold back on what I really feel but I'll probably get in trouble anyway."
Blackburn 0-2 Chelsea
Paul Ince: "They played well in the first half but (Paul) Robinson was in fine form and made four or five great saves. We took the game to them in the second half and we could have got something out of the game. It's disappointing that our performances haven't got us the points we deserved but there is no need to panic, we just need an element of luck to push us forward."
Luiz Felipe Scolari: "The pitch was dangerous in the first half because it was raining and it was very difficult for us. But we finished the half 1-0 and we knew if we made a second goal we would kill this team. (Nicolas) Anelka is trying every day in training to make (more goals) than he has and now he has more opportunities and scores more goals and that's good for us - and for Anelka."
Martin O'Neill: "When there are five minutes to go, if you can't win then you have to make sure you don't lose and the goal we gave away was so poor from our viewpoint. It is hard to imagine a softer goal and it was a big lapse in concentration. The first goal was also preventable. We had the situation covered and should have dealt with it better."
Gareth Southgate: "I was really pleased with the way we played. Even if the game had ended in a draw, I'd have been really happy with the account we gave of ourselves. We passed the ball really well, were bright on the break and showed some resilience. The players responded to a challenge. I had said to them at the start of the week 'What do we want to do?' because in the past we have responded after poor results."
Manchester City 1-2 Tottenham
Mark Hughes: "The referee should have been prepared to take the conditions into account but he was not prepared to do that. I thought Gelson's second yellow card was harsh as the referee should have given him the benefit of the doubt. It has hurt us badly. As for (Richard) Dunne's sending-off, it was a coming together of bodies and you hope common sense would prevail given the difficult conditions. But again Mr Dean was not prepared to do that."
Harry Redknapp: "A few weeks ago we had only two points and that was scary. We could have been cast adrift. But the whole league is so close apart from the top four, who are clearly the best teams. We have some good players and (Darren) Bent is in great form. He is showing a lot of confidence and it is fantastic for him he is already on 11 goals."

Eto Osuji, Arsenal is just what is needed in English FA Premiership. Without their regulars the young lads dealt Sir Alex Fergie a lesson. Keep it up. Chelsea should not talk because money does not buy quality. Grow the boys, not buy the boys
Alex won't talk to the beeb because they accused his son of corruption
Owen sometimes plays between injuries.
He has never ever been healthy. I'm not even sure why teams get him...
