Serie A - Moggi turns his back on football

Eurosport - Mon, 10 Nov 15:38:00 2008

Disgraced former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi has said he will never return to the sport.

FOOTBALL Moggi - 0

Moggi has been banned from football for five years for his part in Italy's 'Calciopoli' match-fixing scandal.

"Football is a world that doesn't interest me anymore, I don't want to come back," he told a trial where he is accused along with five others of using a player management company to manipulate the transfer market.

The outcome of the trial is expected in January. He is also due to face a separate trial on criminal charges linked to the match-fixing affair. He denies all charges.
