Tyson worry for Hatters clash

Mon 10 Dec, 02:45 PM

Striker Nathan Tyson has emerged as a major injury doubt ahead of Nottingham Forest's FA Cup second round tie at Luton on Tuesday.Tyson was on the scoresheet twice as Forest disposed of Brighton 2-0 at the Withdean Stadium on Friday but was withdrawn in the second half after complaining of a tight hamstring - and given the striker's injury problems in the past, Calderwood is keen to be careful.

Boss Colin Calderwood told the club's official website: "We believe it was a cramping of his hamstring but because it's that area of his leg, we'll have to be ultra-cautious."

Midfielder Sammy Clingan was sent off in that match and begins his three-match ban as Forest try to avenge September's 2-1 defeat at Kenilworth Road with the incentive of a third round tie with Liverpool at home.

Defender Julian Bennett remains sidelined with a hamstring injury while Kris Commons and Arron Davies will be vying to replace the suspended Clingan in the heart of Forest's midfield.
