Albion sweat over Roman and Cesar

Mon 11 Feb, 05:45 PM

Roman Bednar and Bostjan Cesar are fresh injury doubts for West Brom boss Tony Mowbray ahead of Sheffield United's visit to The Hawthorns. The pair were substituted at half-time in Albion's 2-1 defeat at Barnsley on Saturday with groin problems.

Defender Cesar appears to have the less serious problem as Mowbray is more concerned with Bednar's fitness.

"He has got a tight groin. We thought it best to take him off on Saturday rather than risk making it worse."

Robert Koren remains a doubt as the midfielder continues to struggle with the bruised calf that ruled him out of the trip to Oakwell, and Mowbray added: "Robert did not even travel to Barnsley so he wasn't even close for that one, but hopefully he will be okay."

Ishmael Miller has resumed training after almost a month on the sidelines with a hamstring problem and is hopeful of being in contention.
